HD RADIO SEMINAR TO KICK OFF
NAB RADIO SHOW INFO-SESSIONS
WASHINGTON
DC - "HD Radio: All the Basics and More" will kick-off The NAB Radio Show, Tuesday, September 19 in Dallas. The info-session will feature issues facing broadcasters who are planning their HD radio conversion or are already on-air in digital.
The seminar will focus on how engineers, program directors or station management may approach opportunities and challenges that arise during and after converting to digital. The afternoon-long program will be divided into three sessions:
HD Radio Conversion: Processes, Pitfalls, Strategies and Successes
A look at how stations are moving to HD Radio and its impact on station operations, listeners and the bottom line. Multicasting and messagecasting will be explored, along with a look at how Internet broadcasting has played a role in stations' HD radio implementations.
Audience: For both non-technical and technical radio broadcasters, but with emphasis for managers and programmers.
HD Radio Conversion: Technical Planning and Realization The equipment used to convert stations to HD Radio continues to evolve. This session will look at current system architectures, how HD Radio interleaves with analog equipment/operations and look ahead at upcoming developments.
Audience: This technical discussion will be conducted to address the needs of engineers, check writers and other station decision-makers.
HD Radio Conversion: Nuts and Bolts Technical Issues Based on the conversion experiences of hundreds of stations, this session will cover several technical areas that require special attention when converting to HD Radio. Topics are appropriate to both those who have never performed an HD Radio conversion and those who have multiple conversions under their belts.
Audience: Engineers.
This Broadcast Electronics hosted session is open to all and will be held from 2pm – 5pm in the Miro Room at the Hilton Anatole.
